PARCO REGIONALE  CAMPO DEI FIORI

Within the park, 6 natural reserves have been set up which enclose the most important and characteristic environments; The 8 Natural Monuments scattered throughout the Park, small gems of particular naturalistic interest, deserve a visit. The whole park can be easily visited through its 20 main paths which are adequately marked. The area is crossed by longer-distance trails such as the European path E1, the Jubilee path, the Via Verde Varesina, the Anulare Valcuviano.

RISERVA NATURALE PALUDE BRABBIA

The Brabbia swamp is an example of a low piedmont peat bog of post-glacial origin.
recognized its inestimable naturalistic value, in 1981 the Brabbia Swamp was included in the first list of biotopes and geotopes of the Lombardy Region, in 1983 it was declared a Regional Nature Reserve and in 1984 it was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture Wetland of International Importance to under the 1971 Ramsar Convention.
Since 1994, LIPU has managed the area in agreement with the Province of Varese which is the managing body of the Reserve.

CASCATA FERMONA

The Fermona waterfall, formed by the Margorabbia stream, is located just below the historic center of the town of Ferrera di Varese and can be reached by a path. The waterfall, which forms a drop of 30 meters, is a place of cool refreshment on hot summer days.

LINEA CADORNA

is the official name with which today the system of fortifications built along the Italian-Swiss border between the summer of 1915 and the spring of 1918, during the First World War, is identified. Today it is a path system with sections of walkways and well-preserved fortifications that can be visited.

ORRIDO DI CUNARDO

Complex and important hydrogeological tunnel unique in Lombardy. It develops in the form of a labyrinth of tunnels, now wide, now narrow, dug by the waters of one of the main waterways in the province of Varese, the Margorabia stream, for about half a kilometer.
The underground karst complex of Cunardo, made up of tunnels, jumps, lakes, is the only natural Lombard tunnel of an almost only superficial watercourse.

VIA FRANCISCA DEL LUCOMAGNO

The Via Francisca del Lucomagno is the path that from Costanza (Switzerland) crosses the entire province of Varese and then reaches Pavia and connects with the Via Francigena and then Rome.
